The wave you’re used to
Spide has its own My Wave: an endless stream that learns from what you like and skip, and shifts its mood from morning to night. You don’t need Yandex Plus for it.
A free alternative to Yandex Music
Spide works the way Yandex Music listeners are used to: an endless wave tuned by your likes, lyrics that follow the song, downloads for offline. The difference is that the essentials are free, with no subscription and no ads.
Bring your library with you
Sign in with Yandex, tick the liked tracks and playlists you want, and Spide moves them over in the background. You type your Yandex password on Yandex’s own page, so we never see it.
Lyrics, offline and an equalizer
Synced lyrics highlight the line being sung, music downloads for offline listening, and the equalizer with presets plus slowed and 8D effects costs nothing.
What’s free
Without paying you get the wave, search, synced lyrics, equalizer presets, a sleep timer and alarm, listening stats and a profile. The free plan has limits: 500 likes, 150 offline tracks, audio up to 128 kbps, and two assistant requests a day after the first ten. Premium lifts them for 85 rubles a month, 899 a year, or 2,999 once.
Where Spide falls short
There are no podcasts or audiobooks, no apps for iPhone, desktop, TV or smart speakers, and the interface is only in Russian for now. Spide isn’t on Google Play, so you install and update it from the APK. Premium can’t be bought inside the app yet: it’s switched on by hand via Telegram. And the catalog has gaps, so rare tracks sometimes can’t be found.
Questions
Can I use Spide alongside Yandex Music?
Yes. Importing doesn’t change anything in Yandex Music, and both apps can live on the same phone.
Does Spide have My Wave?
Yes, its own. It picks tracks from your likes and skips. It’s a Spide feature, not a Yandex service, so you don’t need Yandex Plus.
Is Spide really free?
Yes: no card, no subscription, no ads. Premium is for people who want more than the free limits or audio up to 320 kbps.
