1. General
This Policy explains what data the Spide music app (the “App”) and the spide.ru website (the “Site”) process, why, and what rights you have. By using the App or the Site you agree to this Policy. If you don’t agree, please stop using the App and the Site.
The personal data controller is the developer of Spide. Data is processed on the basis of your consent and to perform the App’s Terms of Use (Article 6 of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”).
For any question about your data, contact support on Telegram at @spidelond or by email at MusicSpide@gmail.com.
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Russian version, the Russian version applies.
2. Data the App processes
Account data: email address, username and profile picture; when you sign in with Google, the email address, name and profile picture of your Google account; when you sign in with Telegram, your Telegram ID and username.
Your content: playlists, favourite tracks, followed artists and users, listening history and App settings.
Public profile: if you choose to publish your profile or a playlist, the name, avatar and published playlists you set become visible to other App users.
Subscription data: the status and end date of your Premium subscription.
Technical data: listening events used for personal recommendations, device model, OS version and App version.
3. Why we process data
App data is used to create and run your account; sync your library, playlists and settings; run social features (public profiles, follows, shared playlists); provide Premium features; recommend music; keep the App stable and improve it; and reply to support requests.
Site data is used to run the Site and protect it from attacks and, if you agree, to count visits and improve the Site.
4. Third-party services
You can sign in with Google or Telegram. In that case the service passes the App only the data listed in section 2 and processes it under its own privacy policy: Google — policies.google.com/privacy, Telegram — telegram.org/privacy.
The App uses no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. If you agree, the Site uses Yandex Metrica; see section 5.
Audio is played from open third-party sources. The App does not host or store audio files on its own servers.
5. The spide.ru site, cookies and Yandex Metrica
You can read the Site without an account. Like any web server, the Site’s server writes the IP address, request time, page address and browser details to technical logs. The logs exist to protect the Site from attacks and are kept for about two weeks.
On your first visit the Site shows a cookie notice. If you click “Accept”, the Site turns on Yandex Metrica, a web analytics service run by Yandex LLC. Metrica stores cookies in your browser and collects details of the visit: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referral source and time on the Site; it also records actions on pages (Session Replay) and builds click maps. We use this to count visits and make the Site better. Yandex processes the data under its privacy policy and the Metrica terms of use.
If you click “Decline”, Metrica isn’t loaded and no analytics cookies are stored. The Site remembers your choice in your browser and uses no other cookies.
Metrica processes data on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: or write to us.
6. Storage and security
Account data and your content are stored on Spide’s own servers. Email addresses and Google and Telegram IDs are stored encrypted. Access is restricted: your personal data is visible only to you, and only what you publish yourself becomes public. Data is sent over an encrypted connection (TLS). We keep data for as long as you have an account, or as long as it is needed for the purposes in this Policy.
7. Your rights
You may find out what data about you is processed; correct inaccurate data (you can change your name and picture in settings); unpublish your profile or playlists; withdraw your consent to data processing on the Site; and ask us to delete your account and related data.
8. Deleting your account and data
To delete your account and related data, send a request to support (Telegram: @spidelond) from the email address linked to your account or from the Telegram account you sign in with. The account and all related data, including technical data, are deleted within 30 days of the request being confirmed.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you learn that a child has given us personal data, contact support and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The current version is always available at spide.ru/en/privacy and in the App (Settings → About). We will notify you in the App about significant changes. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
