Lyrics that keep time
The current line is large, the rest fade back, and the text moves with the music, so you always know exactly which words you’re hearing.

Music is one of the easiest ways into a language. In Spide, lyrics move in time with the song and an AI translation can put each line into English, so you hear, read and understand at once.

The current line is large, the rest fade back, and the text moves with the music, so you always know exactly which words you’re hearing.

Switch on translation and the AI puts each line into English as the song plays. It works the other way too, turning English lyrics into Russian. Translation is part of Premium.

Ask the assistant for “calm Russian indie for studying” or “Russian rap from the last few years”, and it puts the playlist together. My Wave then keeps finding more in the same vein.

Pick a song you already like and listen once just for the sound. Then play it with lyrics on and follow the Russian line by line, glancing at the English only when you get lost. Choruses repeat, so the same phrases come back again and again, and that repetition is what makes them stick.
Spide is an Android app, and its interface is in Russian for now. Lyrics aren’t available for every track, and AI translation is part of Premium, 85 rubles a month. Synced lyrics and everything else on this page work for free.
Synced lyrics are free; line-by-line AI translation comes with Premium.
